Me

Hello, I'm Brandon. I'm a product leader, dad of 3, and avid fan of the Denver Broncos. I’ve dabbled with creative writing, cooking, theatre, and making my own egg nog just to name a few. I believe in making a ruckus—as Seth Godin says, “the act of making things better by making better things.”

I’m a user-obsessed product leader passionate about delivering pleasurable, indispensable solutions to real problems. And story telling is my super power. The users, the company, and the product all have stories—I’m lucky enough to tell them.

A Story

I’ve been a user-centric product leader for nearly a decade, but my first time thinking as product manager didn’t start with my first product role. I started doing the work 2 years before that at a low-income elementary school. Of course my day-to-day job was connecting printers and networks, but what I truly loved was equipping the teachers with what they needed to do their jobs. Before I called it 'problem discovery', I loved learning the ways teachers most wanted to teach. Before calling it ‘solutioning', I loved finding technological solutions that helped them be the best teacher they could be.

That’s the aspect of Product Management that I most enjoy–learning someone’s needs and delivering beyond their expectations.

Now

I’ve taken that same philosophy into every role I’ve been in since then. It’s because I’m passionate about delivering indispensable solutions to complex problems that fit into existing processes so the solution is seamless and makes lives better.

At the end of the day, creating solutions is easy. Creating solutions that actually solve problems is harder. Creating solutions that can be implemented into real people's lives is even harder. And creating solutions that work for the greater good is even harder still. Yet, that's the work I love to do.
